TÜV NORD CERT Provides Customer Information on Handling Food Safety Management System Certification During Covid-19 Crisis
The worldwide spread of the coronavirus poses challenges not only for food producers, but also for auditors. For this reason, TÜV NORD has set up a central coordination point to monitor and evaluate the situation daily. Furthermore, measures have been taken to ensure that audits can still be carried out, however, with some limitations.
On their website, TÜV NORD provides information on how they protect their customers and employees, what customers need to know about upcoming audits and what measures have been taken to deal with the current situation.
As currently many on-site audits cannot be performed due to travel restrictions, the demand for remote audits is increasing. Standard owners therefore introduce a number of special arrangements to allow more remote audits. TÜV Nord has summarized the most important requirements and explained how such an audit is carried out.
