It is well known that more plastic is produced than can be properly disposed of leading to extensive environmental problems. But that's not all: Microplastics have already found their way into our food and therefore into our bodies. As a result, governments are starting to regulate plastic consumption in some places. But this will not fight the plastic problem. Companies will continue to use the convenient material more than ever unless we start changing consumer behavior.
Changing one's behavior is easier said than done.
